Alex Thomas was appointed CEO and Managing Director of PetSure in 2013. As CEO, Alex has driven strong revenue and EBITDA growth, and customer led digital transformation. Alex has deep senior management experience with a proven record of developing and executing strategy that enables growth in customer and profitability as well as building high-performance teams. Alex serves on a number of boards, including Trupanion Australia and as Chairperson of PetSure Services Inc. Alex is a passionate pet lover and proud pet parent to two Bichon Frise, Ripper and Teddy.

Antony joined PetSure in 2013 as General Counsel, with over 25 years’ legal and financial services experience in Australia and abroad. Antony advises the board and its committees on all governance related matters and leads PetSure’s legal, compliance and corporate governance teams. He started his career at Ashurst Lawyers and spent time at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and at Colonial First State Investments as a solicitor in the Corporate and Financial Services and Dispute Resolution Practice Groups before returning to private practice at Lander and Rogers. Antony’s international experience comes from time spent with Lombard Insurance Company Limited (South Africa) as Divisional Head where he gained extensive operational and strategic experience. A proud pet parent, Antony spends lots of time at the local park playing tug of war with Astro.

Joni joined the PetSure family in 2017, bringing with her more than 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry. As Chief Insurance Officer, Joni has end-to-end accountability for our core insurance business in Australia and New Zealand which includes marketing, product design and pricing, value-added services and our direct business. Joni led life insurance product development at Hollard, South Africa’s largest privately-owned insurance company, where she gained in-depth experience in designing customer-focused product solutions for an array of market segments and distribution networks, including retail, direct, broker, agency, digital and affinity channels. Joni adores her two rescued Yorkies, Lofty and Buddy.

Joe has more than 25 years’ industry experience, starting in the UK with KPMG, where he gained extensive proficiency in audit, assurance and advice. He’s held senior finance roles locally and abroad, most notably with the Hollard Insurance Company where he was CFO of Hollard Business Partners and subsequently the Group Head of Capital. Peter joined Singtel Optus as the Director of Provisioning and was later appointed Director of Delivery Operations. Brett joined PetSure in 2019 as the Chief Information Officer where he is responsible for PetSure’s Information Technology and Change team. Brett joined PetSure after retiring from a 27 year career as a technology consultant with Accenture. He has deep experience in infrastructure, security, network, integration and modern engineering frameworks. As the Chief Technology Officer in the Asia Pacific region for Accenture’s Communications, Media and High Tech clients, Brett provided direction and leadership for over 1,000 technology consultants providing technology and security consulting services to clients in the region. Brett has worked with fortune 500 clients in the US, Malaysia, Singapore, Tokyo and Australia, starting his career in Melbourne but moving to Sydney in 2000 when he returned from the US.

José joined PetSure in 2019 as the Head of Strategy where he is responsible for working with the leadership team on the long-term strategy for PetSure with a focus on growth and global markets. José joined PetSure from Bain and Co where he has held a variety of roles. He has deep experience in defining strategy for sectors such as insurance, telecommunications, health, and outsourced managed services in Sydney, London and Johannesburg where he played a lead role in developing the digital strategy for wearable technology as well as lead for a New Zealand insurer on new claims modelling. Prior to Bain José held roles with UBS London and Accenture South Africa. José has been a proud pet parent for many years, looking to rescue his next pet from animal rescue.

Simone joined PetSure in 2021 as the Chief Risk Officer and is responsible for leading the risk function within PetSure. She has over 20 years financial services experience, including in roles for QBE, AUB Group, HCF, HCF Life and Zurich. Simone’s experience includes restructuring risk and compliance functions and enhancing their frameworks to improve the quality of risk management within APRA and ASIC regulated entities. Simone is a Fellow and Certified Insurance Professional of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), Certified Compliance and Risk Professional and holds a Graduate Certificate in Compliance and Risk Management from the Governance, Risk and Compliance Institute.

Andrew is the Chair of the PetSure Board. He is currently also a Director of Teachers Mutual Bank Limited, Unimutual Limited, and Nimble Money Limited. He is Chair of the Board for UniMutual and Chairs the Audit Committees for each of the other entities. He runs an advisory business that provides corporate finance, strategic and capital markets advice to financial service sector businesses across the maturity spectrum.
Andrew has held Executive and Board positions at leading financial service sector institutions including RACQ, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Hollard Insurance, Greenstone Financial Services and other similar entities. He is a past Member of the Australian Accounting Standards Board and was consistently rated as one of Australia’s top equity market research analysts in the Australian and Asian financial services sector over more than 15 years.
Andrew holds an Honours degree in Science (Biochemistry) and a Masters in Business Administration, both from the University of Western Australia. He is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Andrew is the proud pet parent of Kevin, a 10 year old Kelpie, of rescue pet origin.

Richard Enthoven joined the PetSure Board in 2002 and was the Chair until December 2022. Richard is the founder, and former Chief Executive Officer (1999 to 2021), of The Hollard Insurance Company Pty Ltd and the co-founder of Greenstone Financial Services Ltd and PetSure Australia Pty Ltd.
Richard currently serves as the chairman of Greenstone and a director of Hollard Holdings Australia and PetSure Australia. Richard is also a director of Trupanion Inc, a leader of medical insurance for cats and dogs throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Puerto Rico and Australia.
Richard served as a director of the Insurance Council of Australia from 2013 to 2024, including deputy president from March 2017 to November 2017; president from 2017 to 2019; and deputy president from 2021 to 2024.
Richard also served as a director of The Hollard Insurance Company and The Hollard Life Insurance Company in South Africa from 2004 to 2014, including chairman of both companies from 2008 to 2014.
Richard holds a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California.

Alex Thomas was appointed CEO and Managing Director of PetSure in 2013. As CEO, Alex has driven strong growth within the business and a customer-centric digital transformation. Alex has extensive senior management experience and a proven record of developing and executing strategies that enable customer growth, profitability and the creation of high-performance teams.
Before joining PetSure, Alex held various executive roles with Optus, most recently as the Vice President of Optus Business where she oversaw the managed services business for the Enterprise and Government sectors and delivered business-wide ICT solutions.
Alex serves on the board of PetSure Services International, a joint venture between PetSure and Standard Insurance Philippines, as Chairman and Non-Executive Director.Alex is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Katrina Barry joined the PetSure Board in 2018. She is currently Chair of the People & Culture Committee. Katrina has over 15 years’ experience as a Non-Executive Director. She is a current director of Webjet Ltd.
As an experienced leader and former McKinsey consultant, she specialises in strategy and transformation for iconic brands. Currently, Katrina is the CEO of me&u, a global leader in order and pay technology for Hospitality with offices across UK, US and Oceania. She was previously the Managing Director of Trafalgar Tours and Contiki Holidays, looking after the Australasian businesses end to end, including regional operations.
Previously, Katrina spent a number of years with BT Financial leading various direct businesses, and digital, marketing and customer experience across multiple brands. Prior to that she spent 7 years with the Virgin Group where she held a variety of non-executive and executive roles including leading strategy at Virgin Money, investment management at Virgin’s Private Equity arm, and being one of the founders of Virgin Active gyms in Australasia. Katrina started her career as a lawyer and then as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company.
Katrina holds Commerce and Law degrees from the University of Auckland, and an Executive AMP from Wharton. She is a member of the Institute of Company Directors.

Harvey Carter joined the PetSure Board in 2022. He is currently Chair of the Audit Committee. Harvey is an experienced investor and M&A advisor with a focus on Financial Services. He is a Director of a leading fintech company, Inloop Pty. Ltd. and has advised ultra-high net worth and high net worth clients on investments and financial services. Harvey led the in-house M&A team at Westpac for over ten years and worked on transactions such as the merger between Westpac and St George. Prior to his time at Westpac Harvey worked in Melbourne and New York in the Investment Banking division of Morgan Stanley and for private equity firms Catalyst Investment Management and JP Morgan Partners.
Harvey serves as Governor and Treasurer of Ascham School (since 2019). Harvey is the Deputy Chairman of the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation (since 2016).
Harvey holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Melbourne. Harvey is looking to find the right puppy to keep up with three active teenagers.

Bruce Levy joined the PetSure Board in 2013. Bruce’s corporate experience spans some 40-plus years and includes five years as a commercial and corporate lawyer and over 30 years in the health sector both in Australia and internationally.
Bruce spent 10 years in the Victorian public health system as GM/CEO of The Alfred Hospital and 12 years in the health insurance industry as Chief Operating Officer, CEO and Deputy MD for Medibank Private Ltd.
Through his corporate roles Bruce has overseen and lead major organisational change, core IT systems replacement, delivered major business turnarounds and undertaken reviews (financial, operational and leadership) that covered a wide span of organisational settings and environments. Recently he completed 5 years working with a Chinese private health provider advising on the contractual relationships in a Australian, Chinese and US health venture aiming to establish a major tertiary hospital and health campus in Shanghai.
Bruce holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws, both from Monash University. As long term pet owner that has always had big dogs around the house, he currently has Flynn a 40kg Bull Arab/Staffi, a gentle giant and, Cinnamon a 12 year old Staghound/ Healer, who runs the household.
