PetSure submission for NSW inquiry into the veterinary workplace shortage

With the Upper House inquiry into the shortage of veterinarians in NSW, the state government called for submissions from businesses to outline recommendations to address some of the challenges within the vet workforce, and to support greater sustainability within the sector.

As Australia’s only standalone pet insurer, underwriting more than 80% of the Australian market, and helping to cover the treatment costs of more than 4,000 dogs and cats each day. PetSure and its associated entities employ approximately 80 veterinarian professionals in Australia.

GapOnly® is PetSure’s innovative claiming solution available in over 1,000 vet clinics across Australia, allowing customers to claim on the spot, helping reduce upfront out-of-pocket costs.

From a public education campaign to more support for digital telehealth services, PetSure and GapOnly® put forward a submission with its key recommendations.
